The Attendance System: Organization At Its Prime
Let's face it: would you have graduated high school, college even, if those credits weren't tallied? No! The attendance was there to work to your benefit, so that you can progress to the next stage of your life. Now as an adult you realize that clicking in means that your company knows just how hard you work. It is a testament to your devotion and reliability. As long as you give it your all, you're in the clear. In fact it leaves you with proof that you deserve at least consideration for promotion, among other factors.
So, do not feel stressed by the clock in software. embrace it and realize that it gives you the power. It's a comforting thing knowing you have proof of your hard work.

The Downside of Low Price Attraction
My wife swore she would not revisit Japan at least within 5 years after having experienced the earthquakes and the Tsunami and the scare of the nuclear radiation risk last March in Tokyo.
But when Airasia offered low price tickets for their debut fly to Osaka last August, my wife conveniently forgotten all her fears and booked the air tickets right away. Hence, Osaka was the destination for our family's Chinese New Year holiday vacation this year. And, we were back in Japan not even a year from her last vow.
That’s how sales and promotions having their effects on women mostly and make her (my wife) forgot the pain that came later. She didn't take any considerations (or she intentionally forgotten?) about the high living standard in Japan, about the expensive foods, accomodation, transportations, local tours, theme park, shopping; all in all, the additional high costs made the low offered airfare insignificant.
For consumer products, the pain hurts you once and you regret it after but it may have a smaller effect in a small circle of people; but for an industry product, when low price prevails without comprehensive considerations, greater suffer might need to be borne by the whole company for a long period of time.
Imagine buying a machine that is not really suitable to uplift your company’s efficiency? It could easily jeopardize the business's operation and the whole business in general.
I was involved in the business of supplying Electronic Publishing Solution to the newspaper industry before I ventured into Biometrics industry. And I’d witnessed how one of my clients, due to the cost-saving purpose, had bought a third party part to support its web printing machine. The part had caused the machine to hiccup once in a while too often to keep up with the race for the deadlines.

Yes, we packed FingerTec biometric terminal into a small box with some accessories and a CD that contains TCMS v2 software and all type of user guides. When all eyes are on the hardware which obviously take up the major space and weight in a box, we shouldn’t and couldn't ignore the software, the firmware, and the support system built around the hardware.
When pricing is the only considering factor, some customers would easily end up having to endure permanent glitches of their system every single working day, even though time and attendance system is just a threshold for workers to start and end their work by clocking-in and out. We should be aware that when more rules apply, the calculations would be more complicated for time and attendance, besides extra issues of integration or export of data to your payroll system. To top that of, working hour is a sensitive issue and human resources is always one of the major costs for most companies.
For any industry products, don't get too caught up in getting the best deals in price in the procurement process. No matter how low the price a product is, it is always wise to research before making any decisions. As the saying goes, there's no free lunch.

Payment Made Fairer With Employee Clock In
When I first showed up at a job with employee clock in software I was a little nervous. I assumed this might be a way the company could take advantage of me and somehow whittle down the amount of hours I could do in a given week. What I soon realized was that all of the companies who did not have clock in software, places where I was salaried or paid a flat day rate, had been taking me to the cleaners for years. Now with the biometric time clocks being utilized both my employer and myself, I had a very clear idea of the amount of hours I had worked. It was offering something I had not had in other jobs: transparency. As a result my finances make a lot more sense these days. Gone are those weeks where I would wonder how much I was paid. Had I agreed to work a half day but ended up staying for nearly eight hours? Was I working a sixteen hour day doomed to make the same amount as an eight hour affair? These were legitimate concerns in previous employment situations. Now thanks to this clock in technology I was getting paid correctly and I only had to trust my own finger prints.

Support is Marketing? Yes, apparently!
I met someone long ago who told me that a good marketer could sell a useless dirty rock for a price, for the art of selling is in its convincing. He stressed that the ability to convince a client to want a product he doesn't really need is a highly sought-after trait in a marketer. I could partly concur with his opinion but marketing these days need more than just the convincing part in order to retain customers in a long run. The question is always, how to capture customer’s attention, to get them to buy your products, to make them coming back for more and to make them be with you through good and bad times.
It sounds a tad romantic isn't it? But that’s the real challenge in marketing these days. A lot of times, marketing also involves customer relationship management whether you prefer it or not. FingerTec is least interested in hit and run Alibaba's style of business, we prefer our relationships with our customers to be a long lasting one.
Through the years, I’ve experienced different marketing approaches from different countries and they are variety. I am in no position to judge who is right and who is wrong because when faced with different demographic group and foreign business cultures, my wrong could be other people’s right. Nonetheless, they are some common ingredients to a succesful and long lasting relationship with existing customers and the new ones. Apart from promoting the excellent specs of your products, what else do you pitch to your clients to get them to choose your brand and your company?
In my opinion, excellent customer support is always a winner! While customer is king, in a business like FingerTec, customer support is Queen. Customer support is vital that the absence of it could make your company absent from the market. Many companies I met talked about customer support but when customers send them problems, they view problems as burdens. We receive problems in bulk everyday and while not all were solved immediately, we always let you know that we are attending to your problem(s), and the remedy would come sooner or later. Customers must be comforted in the fact that when they buy something, someone from the supplier would know the answer when they are stuck with a problem or two. Maybe you don't have sufficient staff or your staff is not proficient enough in the subject matter but that shouldn't be the excuse to play hide and seek with a client. Nothing is more frustrating than not knowing what to do in difficult times.
Play it smart! Tap on what FingerTec has prepared for you. Get them to sign up to our resources, get them to use our user website, guide them to where they could find information. This education could be done in the early stage of marketing. FingerTec has just introduced some feature badges, which you could place on your website to direct your clients to find information they need about FingerTec. Pick and choose the badges you want and place them strategically on your company's website. I'm not saying that you should be ignoring your clients and direct them to inhumane interaction, but you must make them feel that you care about them, wanting to take care of their problems. Explore what FingerTec has prepared to better your support. For example, last onth we introduced the toolbox for technician to bring along during site visits; you don't need to source the toolbox from us but use the information to improve your support. When customers feel taken care of, changing supplier would be the last thing in mind.
I am a firm believer that customer support is the determining factor in marketing. Ignoring this aspect in business could spell disaster in capital letters. Your sales could be good this month but there is always next month and when clients know the good reputation of your customer support, the repeat orders are not hard to come by.

The Finger Scanner: The Evolution of Home and Business Security
As far as we're concerned, there has always been organization in police investigations of thefts and other crimes. The crime scenes we see on television shows always use fingerprinting as their way of catching the "bad guys." Well, sadly before these techniques were implemented crime scenes were not as respected as they are now. In fact, before the FBI started realizing how valuable fingerprints were in uniquely identifying people as forensic scientific evidence, they weren't even taken that seriously. The other thing we now can implement is the use of fingerprints as a form of identification for files. Important documents may require an inking. Many businesses and homes use finger scanner technology for door locks. Yes, the fingerprint door lock is another addition to security measures. Fingerprints have gone from a 'post-crime' way of identification to a pre-crime preventative measure. Pre-emptive home and office security is wise for people protecting valuables and personal safety.
Things have come a long way since fingerprint reading has been implemented. If it weren't for this study of the ridges in our fingers, then a lot of these inventions and security advances would not be possible. Such a simple thing has made such a significant difference so it's important to use it to its full potential in protecting property.
